a crafty day :)
DD arrived at 9.30 am, looking like she needed a sleep ;) her dad had to get up early to take DS to the station by 7.30 to catch a train to London, to attend a fencing camp, maybe she was disturbed by that?
I pottered around while she went for a snooze. Then we went to hillsborough to buy a sheet to fit the bed in the attic, the doubles are just too small. I got all excited when she showed me the material shop, but they didn't have fluffy sheet material, and we managed to get out without buying material or patterns (I have a tendency to start projects but not finish them).
Then we went to subway (the sandwich shop) for the first time. it was ok, but nothing to rave about.
We went home in time for the virginmedia appointment (anytime between 1 and 6, a small window of time then). while we were waiting she starting practising her calligraphy skills, she's good already, she made me a sign with the house number on for the front window. I started sewing the team bands I bought a while back, I could have bought ready made ones, but they are soooo much more expensive. DD had a go aswell, with my 'ancient' sewing machine.
The VM man turned up and brought joy to my little house, I have broadband, a new phone number and 65 channels on the tele (not keen on that, but DD is happy).
The lack of broadband is the explanation for my intermittent blipping lately. So, back in the land of the connected... hooray.
The separation became more real and permanent for me yesterday, and it was difficult. I spoke(blubbed while she talked for a while) to my aunty, who went through a very similar split 20 years ago, and is now married to a lovely man. Then I had tea and hugs with a friend here, and a visit from a friend I haven't seen for a while in the evening. Felt a whole lot better by the evening.
