Chirstmas Party

We had our school's Christmas party today. A Chinese party is something different let me tell you. They are a lot of fun. THat's not to say that other parties aren't fun, our are just different.

We have 5 schools in Harbin and each of the schools must give a performance. This picture is of some of the girls from the Longjiang School. It just seems a little odd that Chinese girls from an English school are doing an Indian dance but they did a great job.

Some of the acts are amazing. The school has some wonderful dancers and singers. Each school usually has a single performer sing and then a group dance and then they organise a game. Some of the games are standard but some of them a crazy. In one game tonight, one contestant sat on a chair blindfolded and another contestant (also blindfolded) carried a cup of juice ten meters and then the one sitting down had to (no hands) drink to whole cup. The person walking was assisted by a third person giving verbal commands. Quite strange but a lot of fun.

They all have to front up in about 6 weeks for a new performance for the CHinese New Year dinner..

The show is so good and professional.. I am sure that in most places it could be taken on the road.
