The big Thaw

The good news today is that the trend that started yesterday went on throughout the night and the bulk of the snow and ice has melted away. The roads in western Scotland are much more safe for the time being. we can only hope they remain that way.

The photograph taken today bears witness to a less white landscape. It may not excite our senses so much but in truth most of us will be happier.
