Rain

Today has been a grey day. Raining off and on, the main change being from drizzle to heavy and back again. Never mind, it's given us the opportunity to start packing and to relax after a pretty full on 10 days. Off to Wanaka tomorrow for a few more days of holiday.

Captured this heron in heavy rain. I know its not a terribly interesting photo but I like the number of shades of grey I've managed to capture, the fact that you can see the raindrops, and the way the rain has separated his feathers to give them definition.
