The "hot" seat, or the "cold" seat?


This is a stool I found outside the house I am currently snowed in at. I woke up this morning after being snowed in last night to find another 3 inches had fallen.

The stool gives the magnitude of the snowfall no justice, but the cans of camp fuel and the snow laden bush behind it give testament to the sheer amount of snow that has fallen.

Now, mind you, I am from up north and this is nothing to me.

But I live in North Carolina now. Snow = Apocalypse.

There are barely any plows, de-icing is a joke, and NC drivers see snow like this once every 20 years, so no one knows how to drive in it...

So, in order to remain safe, despite the fact that I know how to drive in this...I stayed at the friend's house I was visiting.

He is centrally located in a huge city about 3 blocks from the hospital. The power went out for parts of the city, but the power grid is so strong around the hospital that we remained well lit.

Location, location, location!!!
