Time for a break . . .

Christmas eve morning and time to close up the craft shop for the winter break. Because it is so close to the sea it is liable to flood if the tide, winds and heavy rain combine. A couple of years ago it flooded very badly, and so now we put all the stock up stairs and lift all the fittings up off the floor. It takes a team of us the whole morning to do it but then we can have the whole of January off and not worry about it!

Took ages to get down to the village. Very little more snow, but the roads were absolutely treacherous - icy and polished and with water lying on them. Shattered by the time I got home! I set off with Ollie and had a stress relieving exhilarating walk before settling down to start preparing food and bits and pieces for tomorrow.
