Merry Christmas from our house to yours!
It's not really our house but one on a road nearby where the residents go all out at this time of year. Every other house there seems to be lit up - some to raise money for a local hospice - and I'm only sorry it's not possible to get them all in one picture. I know it's silly, and doesn't have much to do with the true meaning of Christmas, but the day just doesn't seem complete without a drive down this little, festive lane.
However you spent your day today, and whatever Christmas means to you, I hope it was a good one.
And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more? ~ Dr Seuss
