The Birdwoman
We opened the curtains this morning only to discover that we are right back where we started. We have been battling against hard packed snow and ice for 24 days and gradually over the past few days there was a bit of a thaw, so we thought we were coming out of it. Wrong! Down it came again. Officially 25cm (10 inches) of the stuff overnight just a few kms down the road. That's it! We are now stuck again until after Christmas. Thankfully we managed to get all the ingredients for the Christmas dinner in over the weekend so we will just have to sit it out.
Mrs. Joesblips took one look at the empty birdtable from the comfort of her bed at 8.50am and immediately took pity on her winged friends. She jumped out of the bed, donned her dressing gown and fur hat (essential protection against the elements you will agree!) and her daughters famous pink boots and away out with her at top speed to feed the feathered ones.
When she sees this, she will quite likely kill me, so if you never hear from me again please inform the murder squad!!
