Freeze Dried Rose in Snow

I took a picture of this rose when it was caught in the first snowfall on Dec 2. It's faded and freeze dried now and the snow continues to fall.

Most of the holiday prep is done. One more day and then we are going to Washington DC to visit relatives for Christmas and then we go to a cottage north of Ottawa for New Year's with my sister and her family.

I love this time of year - the traditions with people I love. Not to mention being off work for almost 2 weeks!
