Future Blipper?

Please allow me to to tell you about R jnr's achievement today, before I write about my blip for today!! He passed his written exam for his learner driver's license for a car today!! Woohoo!! What a relief, it very seldom happens in SA that a student passes it on first attempt!! He studied só hard for it!! Congratulations our dear R! You are a STAR!!

We bought Lillian a Canon PowerShot A490, 10MP 3x zoom digital camera for Christmas. We decided to give it to her tonight to give me time to train her on the use of it tomorrow, since she is going home for the festive season, leaves on Wednesday morning very early.

Needless to say, this was the very last thing she expected to get for Christmas! She was tótally overwhelmed and in tears, she just could not believe her own eyes! It is such a pleasure to surprise her with 'nice-to-haves'! She is always só very grateful!

C and I decided a few weeks ago, that since she is always on the lookout for great blips for me, and só often come home, after she went for a walk with her lady friends in the neighbourhood, very excited about something she saw that was blipworthy, but by the time I go back with her, it's not there anymore!

She has her cellphone memory full to capacity with pictures of her grandchildren as well, and now she can snap them properly, have prints made if she wants to, or just download them on my computer and look at them whenever she feels like it! ;-)

It came as a bundle comprising of the camera, a 2Gig SD memory card, card reader all neccessary cables, 2 rechargeable batteries with a charger. We will buy her a nice and safe camera bag tomorrow, to keep it safe when she carries it, what with travelling in mini bus taxis, etc, the screen can easily be damaged!
