Underneath

Everyday I walk under many balconies as most, if not all, houses in Symi have them. The majority are painted white or cream, some are painted a colour which co-ordinates with the decor of the exterior of the house and some have a wooden base. This is the only one I've seen that is decorated in this way and I think it's fabulous. Although I wouldn't have wanted to be the person who had to paint it!

Actually, the whole of this house looks fabulous from the outside and the front windows and balconies have an amazing view of Symi's harbour. I think it's for sale so maybe one day I'll try and get a look around the inside to see if it matches the splendour (albeit a bit faded) of the outside.
