Morecambe Bay in the snow

Today we visited Father Christmas who had very kindly taken time out to deop into Greenlands Farm and hand out early Christmas presents. Rory and Farrah were a little shy when visiting him so the planned shot I had of them stood beside him really didn't come off. After collecting presents, Victoria, one of his elves took us on a sleigh ride around the farm. Which was just delightful, depsite being extraordinarily cold. The kids faces were just gorgeous and I wished the big boys had been there too, as they are not yet too old to enjoy a little magic and make-believe.

On the way home we stopped for me to get some more pictures of the ever beautiful Bay and the Cumbrian hills at the level crossing at Bolton-le-Sands and then again in Morecambe for this picture. You can't really tell, but the sea was out and the rivers which were left were like shining mercury.

By then Razzle and I were FROZEN to the bone, having wrapped the kids up in millions of layers and not ourselves, so home for hot chocolate and the central heating.

Happy, happy days.
