Regeneration

Although Ewan's been swimming at Craigroyston for a while, Ellen just started today although at a slightly later time so while Mandy was still in with Ellen, Ewan and I went for a walk around Pennywell, where acres of perfectly fine but unlettable houses are being demolished and replaced with terraces of wee front and back door houses that will be lucky to last much longer than their NHBC guarantee. It's an oddly familiar place, with many of the flats reminiscent of the four storey flats we grew up in in Glasgow. Those were either demolished or refurbished years ago.

Today is the start of the pre-Christmas tidying where we try to transform the normal pig sty of a house into somewhere parents can be brought.
