The White Cuillins of Skye

Q. How do you make Black, White? A. Lighly dust with snow.

This is the view of the Black Cuillin Hills of Skye blipped from the Cuillin Hills Hotel in Portree. By the time I left the hotel the hills were decidedly more white. As most of the residents of the UK know, the forecast is quite horrendous.

I attended a meeting where eventually we had eight in attendance, about half of those that were expected never arrived. Mostly I think because they were concerned about the return journey. In the circumstances I think they were right not to travel. I hope all those that did come get home safely. I know some had a long way to travel.
