Jack's abstract pattern
How does Jack do it. In some ways it is like a flake of Snow. Every part of every pattern is unique.
This was photographed on the roof of a car this afternoon. It had been cold enough to remain there all day long. Usually because the vehicle is metal and glass the sun's rays will warm the vehicle sufficient to remove all traces of the previous nights frost. But here it has remained despite the sun being on the vehicle all day.
We are told to expect frost or severe frost for the next three days. Not only that but to expect rain upon frozen ground leading to treacherous conditions. And here we are planning a trip to Inverness on Monday to do some Christmas shopping.
Unlike you lucky folk who live close to a town, for us it is a minimum of a three hour journey to and the same upon our return from our nearest large town. To get there we either drive via Achintee, Achnasheen and Garve or we choose the slightly longer route via Shiel Bridge, Invermoriston and Drumnadrochit. The second route is the more major route but rises to the greatest height through Glen Sheil. It can get interesting either way!
