Surrender!

The glitter is out, so is the cotton wool and PVA - a fearsome combination. Today we made snazzy nativity scenes in shoe boxes - creative,eh! Pink and blue lambs may not be to everyone's taste but at this stage of the game I'm not arguing. One of the delights of being part-time is I don't have any responsibility for 'the' Christmas performance so am less frazzled than everybody else. I've just bought a big tin of Roses which seems to have helped.

The Christmas tree is nice. It smells fantastic and lights up a corner in the sitting room. And the lights worked first time - most stressful moment for himself over!

Last Arthouse tonight.I'm looking forward to it as we missed the last two weeks due to bad weather. Tonight is an Argentinian film The Secret in Their Eyes'. Apparently it 'grips the nerves and the imagination' - scarf might be called for.

The fruit cage continues. Peter is still out there welding things.
