christmas lights

well a little bit of weirdness today. was taunting myself by checking out the dslr deals on jessops website in the wee hours this morning. there are some bargins on it and it will definately be between the D40x and the 400D.
the reason i started the torturous search was because i am so looking forward to playing with the settings. in particular those long exposure shots that a lot of you blippers take that have cool light traces in them.

anyway this was taken on my way to kings cross to pick up my mum. just what you want after a day at work, a drive through londons rush hour traffic. still i can't complain as she was bringing the christmas presents with her. bless her, my mum is five foot nothing with her hands in the air and the case she had to bring was almost at her eye level.
this kind collection of gifts does not excuse the most important part of any visit down here. for any of you who have followed my blips for a while, they will know that the items that must not be forgotten are my GLASS bottles of irn bru. now again i am not going without but i only got two. TWO. that has to last me until my next visit. although hopefully i'll be back living in sunny edina before thats due.

so the blip, well the thicker of the light lines is a "slow down" sign and the rest could be streetlights, a bus, cars.....i don't really know. mind is all over the place.

5 days left of work and then the festive madness can begin. think i'll lock the door and stay inside.
