Good But-a-drop-in-the-bucket news: - Still feel like eating those anemic white eggs with the thin shells?

The problem with this story is that it is just one of many egg farms that have been busted for their disgusting practices and conditions. Greedy maggots, that's all those enormous chicken egg farms are. Why else would you do that to an animal? Kudos to the Humane Society for making the appalling conditions public but coming at it from a food safety angle to really engage the public's concern, knowing that it's the fear of getting ill that will likely propel people into changing their oblivious buying habits.
