These geese are rather left to fend for themselves. They seem to manage pretty well but in the Winter I think they appreciate a helping hand with extra rations. As soon as we appear in the field on our dog walking route, they all begin a loud chorus of cackling. In a line they wander over, one of them, ('Woggly One' we call her), seems to have an arthritic hip and lurches along. She is quite tame and feeds from the hand and we have a soft spot for her in particular. Anyway here are 3 out of the 5 searching in the snow for their bread cubes.
