The Frozen River

Another extremely cold day. Wearing so many layers, I look fatter than I actually am! At lunch time had a walk from my work, over the road and headed towards the River Almond. The snow was very deep as I walked along the pathway. As you can see from this picture, the river is practically frozen over.

It'll be 2 weeks on Friday since the snow and freezing temperatures started. I've not experienced such a continually cold spell as this since the winter of 81/82, when my daughter was born.

Another thing, haven't started the Christmas shopping and time is marching on. I also have 2 birthday presents to buy. Better get a move on!
