I couldn't believe it when the heavens opened again this morning and dumped another shit load of snow on us

So it meant another afternoon/evening of beackbreaking shoveling.
My 2nd snow shovel is nearly dead ....... you can't get another one for love nor money.
I have looked into buying a snowblower but you cannot buy a domestic one in this country. I can buy them from Germany, Italy or the USA without a problem (apart from VAT, import taxes, delivery etc) - but not here. Why the hell not?
Honda make them but do not import them.
What the hell is wrong with this country?
It took my son-in-law 7 hours to get home from Glasgow (25 miles) on the countries main road ............ unbelievable.

There was a 'Snow Commission' set up by the last government after las years debacle - and what have hey come up with after a year? .............. home owners should be fined for not clearing the pavement outside their houses
They had legislation for that years ago and repealed it.
And how can they think of prosicuting home owners when the councils are failing to clear roads?

The answer to the roads problems is given as - don't go out.
If everyone did that then the country would not only stop within 8 hours it could never recover ecconomically.................. no emergency services, no transport, no gas, electricity, water, no shops, no finacial servicces - nothing.

The answer is be prepared and act procatively.

In Livingston if you see a griter (very rare) the plow is 2' off the ground - not moving the snow off the road.
Why?
Because last year they wrote off half of their plows when they hit the speed bumps they had put in resulting in the plow being pushed back through the engine.
Remove the fecking speed humps not drive around failing to clear the road.
And another thing ........... clear ALL lanes as you are contracted (at our expense) to do and not just the inside one.
