There Is No Avoiding It
Winter is here.
It was so cold this morning that even the bird poo was hitting the car ready frozen ........ poor bird!
Took the Cygnet to the Gyle this morning for the monthly "Book Bugs" event where there are stories, songs and games for the kids to join in with (organised by the libraries to try and encourage use and reading).
As usual he lasted half an hour and then had to go walkabout/exploring.
The child has the attention span of a gnat.
I liked the nativity scene .......made from canvas and twigs.... that they have.
I would have liked to take a load of pictures, but it is right outside the management offices with staff and security going in and out the whole time - and they get really stroppy about people taking pictures in there (Why?).
So I only got two of the three kings.
Went and picked up a new car later........ new to us that is - it is 10 years old but spotless, mark/rust free, with very low mileage and years MOT (only 3 months tax though - still, can't have everything)..... and 5 doors.
The purchase of the 2nd car is due the the Cygnet sprouting and no longer fitting in comfortably behind the passenger seat.
I am not sure that "you know who" will like it as much - but maybe he will as he will probably be able to see more from the back than he can from my 2 door, 2(+plus 2.......not) seater.
