Fort View

The title is slightly misleading as this obviously isn't a view of a fort but it is the name of the old and imposing house containing this ivy clad window. More snooping but this time with permissions!! A few years ago some friends brought this land and upon it was the ruins of a very fine Georgian house. They have turned the land into a very chic farm (yes, odd but possible) where they keep an array of exotic sheep, donkeys, horses, peacocks, geese etc. The house itself is in a pretty bad but picturesque state. Ivy has taken hold everywhere and is gripping on in astonishing shapes. Behind the big house is another ruined house with lots of outbuildings,and I still haven't found the ringfort! A goldmine for blipping opportunities!

School was open today but it was -6 at 10am and the roads were pretty scary and unpredictable. Most of the children were in and in very high spirits.
