These boots are made for .....

The snow is disavanishing with undue haste so I finally made it to a shop to battle with the rest of Kent to stock up on beer and milk. The first supermarket I tried was so busy that the car park was gridlocked so I schlepped over to Tesco at Lundsford Park but went the long way round as the lanes are still lethally slippery. The bigger problem now is flooding; many roads have deep puddles and on one of the lanes near here the standing water is close to a depth at which it's not safe to drive through in a normal height car (it's still fine for 4x4s and tractors). I now have beer, I'm enjoying some now, and food so it can snow again for a while as far as I'm concerned. And if it does these will be the boots I'll pull on again. They are a bit worn down but comfier than a pair of slippers and warm and waterproof and generally snug.
