Bad Manners
This is the thermometer in the car at 5 o'clock last night. apparently it dropped to minus 16 later on but really I wan't going out to check.
The cold weather brings about a whole new social etiqeutte- check on your elderly neighbours, keep your paths clear and don't whatever you do park in the space that someone else has spent hours laboriously shovelling. Unfortunately this last one has escaped one of our less community minded neighbour and we are now verging on all out war.
The husband and neighbours one and two spent the best part of a day clearing the turning area of the car park and the five spaces that we all usually park our cars in. Neighbour three was nowhere to be found until the minute that neighbour one moved his car. She spotted an opportunity and swiped his nicely cleared space leaving him to carry in two small children and shopping in the dark. Rather than shovel himself a new space he decided to park across the back of her car forcing her to come and ask him to move before she could get out and allow him to politely explain to her that space stealing is just not on. She, however, decided her best option would be to wait until he left and then move her car into a parking space she had cleared herself. All well and good until she tops off her own cleared space with a no parking sign! Don't quite know how but she obviously managed to get into her head that she was the wronged party. The perils of small community life!
For anyone keeping track the grand total for time spent on the naughty step yesterday was 1 hour 26 minutes. Each Minion spent an average of 22 minutes on the step.
