Winter wonderland....
.....the train journey north today was the polar opposite (see what I did there?) of my journey yesterday. Delightful in timing, fellow passengers, food, drink and aw'hing. The best bit of my personal Great Railway Journeys of the World was ploughing through South Yorkshire with the snowy white flakes fluttering down on the snowfields....truly magical, and a memory I'll carry with me for a long time (No, I've not been drinking....really, it was that brilliant). I'm pretty sure I'll have passed Joe heading south.
Exiting the train, whilst "minding the gap and the platform ice caused by inklament (sic) weather", I noticed that our driver had done a fair bit of furrowing. Well done them.
Home now with pie in the oven and Pea and Ham soup in the pot.....nice.
