Splash of Colour

I had planned to take Ethan into Edinburgh today to visit my sister at her work. She would look after him in the creche which would be ideal as he hasn't been properly left with anyone other than me for a long time now. And I would get some "me time" in the steam room, jacuzzi etc. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas and that plan was soon abandoned when I realised quite how much snow was lying in our street!

Even though taking the car out would have been impossible, I refused to be housebond all day. So I popped Ethan in the Baby Bjorn and we went for a wander round our estate. It wasn't easy going as it was really deep in places. I wasn't always sure if I was walking on the pavement, road or grass! I'm not sure Ethan was particularly impressed by my efforts to get him some fresh air as he fell asleep half way round! It was difficult taking photos with a sleeping baby strapped to my chest but I got a few.

When we got home, I managed to get him out the sling and on to the sofa without waking him. He carried on sleeping for another 1 hour 15 minutes!

He also had his first go on a sledge today as a neighbour brought his out for Ethan to try. It wasn't the biggest success even as Ethan was really a bit wee for it and fell out! However, as I've ordered one of these, I hope he'll be more comfortable in it when it arrives.

One of my neighbours popped round in the afternoon for a cuppa and a blether. Haven't seen her for a while so was good to catch up and I'm sure she saw a few changes in Ethan!
