Snow...

Didn't make it into work this morning. The pavement plough had helpfully dumped a 3ft barrier of solid snow between me and the road, backed up with 10 feet of 12" deep slush to the 2nd lane of our road. Yes, we get ploughed and gritted but ironically it's made the problem worse! Took an hour to free the car. Took this while on a mercy mission delivering food to an elderly relative. The difference between the top of Gorgie and the road heading to Wester Hailes was remarkable, road was dreadful. Thank god for the Scooby and it's 4wd!
