Snow Man

This is Fat Bob the snowman. Like so many other blippers with young kids, today's blip is of the snowman we built. Kids wouldn't let me hear the end of it if i posted something else.

Thunder and lightning woke us at 05.30 this morning and was pretty constant throughout the day. When i looked out of the window, everything was covered with an unbroken blanket of the wonderful white stuff (i absolutely love when it's snowing!), as no one had yet walked along the street. I was very tempted to get dressed and go out blipping, but a nice warm bed was far too appealing ;)

I managed to get back to sleep (very little can stop me), but Mrs P and Pesky Princess couldn't, so they finished writing Xmas cards instead.

It's snowed pretty constantly throughout the day. It Was sleet for a while, but the big flakes are falling fast, so definitely wont be in work tomorrow, and doubt the kids will be at School either at this rate. I feel cheated already, as Monday is one of my normal work from home days!

One of our friends has to drive down to Bath today for a special hospital appointment with her daughter that cant be put off (shes been waiting months). When we last spoke it had taken her almost 3 hours to get from Dundee to Perth. The Friarton bridge is closed, and it seems that the M90 to Edinburgh is blocked in a lot of places. The A9 Perth to Glasgow is also blocked, so it's not looking good.

We're essentially cut off here on the east coast of Scotland, as one of my friends lives North of Dundee, in the Angus glens, and even with his 4x4 and years of experience he couldn't make it past Forfar.

We've decided to make a sponge cake (with our own homemade Raspberry Jam we made last week), then snuggle in and watch some movies, and I'll have some of Orkney's finest Ale for good measure.
