Morning of work followed by family lunch out where we just happened to be next to this little number in the car park.

CD finally arrived that I've been really looking forward to hearing. Tradi Mods Vs Rockers Vol 1 : Alternative Takes On Congotronics, a bunch of dance and indie types taking on the likes of Konono No 1 and Kasai All Stars for some top remix action. All I could do to get it on the ipod for a spin before heading out for the evening. Verdict so far - pretty remarkable!

Early evening screening of The American at Filmhouse with a couple of pals from my Cameo days, the three of us used to go to so many movies together - literally morning, noon and night but this is probably the first time the three of us have been out together purposefully for a good few years now. Followed up the movie (good, but not great by the way, directed by Anton Corbijn, who has an amazing eye for detail but narratively this one's a little on the weak side I feel) with some drinks up the road in the Cameo bar before an invigorating walk home through the falling snow.
