Open Turkey

I had a great evening with interesting company and lovely food at McHugh's in Belfast, at my second annual Open Turkey event. Open Turkey was derived from the Open Coffee Belfast meetings I attend occasionally, and is meant to provide an opportunity for self-employed folk to have a works Christmas dinner. Most of the people who attend are into computers/web design/media/photography or some related genre. Mostly it's an excuse for a nice evening out with GBOLs (Great Bunch of Lads - I had to ask!).

This piece of art hangs from the upstairs ceiling in McHughs. Not sure exactly what it is intended to represent, but it looks like a man upside down hanging from a joist and holding some long piece of industrial electrical equipment, not dissimilar from something from Dr Frankenstein's laboratory. I'm sure it cost a fortune!

PS: Too tired for comments this evening and working late tomorrow evening so will catch up on Saturday, while the Mrs is watching her "reality" TV ;)
