Strange Building

I've noticed this building more or less since I started living near Cambridge. It is the Cambridge Research Centre for Schlumberger The urban Myth is that it is built like that to allow it to cope with frequent explosions without much damage.. pah I suspect it is full of trainee circus performers.

Anyway I've only ever seen it from the motorway (M11).

I had a meeting this morning at that end of Cambridge and noticed on the drive in that I passed quite close and so its today blip.

Wine and Music club was good, no clear winner as all the wine was good, although I do recall Doug getting quite animated about my Shiraz not flowing off his tongue in an overly pleasing manner! The music went down pretty well, I found it a bit challenging on a second and third listen (well it seemed like a second or third listen to me at any rate).

Major highlights of the evening were some fine cheese from Bill and a rather epic onion bread from Matt.

In other news, unlike last year when I failed in a rather major fashion, this year we have bought both children sledges, therefore there will be no snow whatsoever!
