Photography Bliss

We started our day with breakfast at the Inn....made to order. Then we were off to the 9 am conference. They based it around the book "Love and Respect". We started off with a 'teamwork' game. Gary and I were chosen for this game as well as 2 other couples. There was an apple hung from a string and whichever couple ate the most of it in a certain amount of time won. Gary whispered "Just hold the apple steady with your teeth and I'll eat the apple". That's what we did and we won :) A Starbucks card was the perfect prize!

The conference was nice and after lunch we had free time. We went to the ocean for exploring on the beach. It was quite cold, but the sky was clear and beautiful! I was able to capture a pic of a rainbow over the ocean, deer on people's lawns, a hummingbird in flight, a perched hummingbird (right outside of our room) and many more. I've never seen such a plump hummingbird, so I was second-guessing whether it was indeed a hummingbird. It appears to be a female black-chinned variety. That's my closest guess at least.

Gary and I ended up getting take-out from an italian restaurant since I wasn't feeling so great. Basil-cream gnocchi and salad. Yum! Gary was in a major dilemma, though. He didn't know whether he should leave me and go to the evening conference or to stay. I told him to go ahead and learn lots and I ended up taking a bath and laying down early (thankfully with my Sudafed 12-hour). Words with Friends on the iPhone kept me occupied.
