Culver City Studios

The Culver Studios is where Gone With The Wind was filmed in 1939. The mansion shown here is not Tara, but was used in the closing credits of the movie. Built originally in 1918, the studios went through a variety of owners, including Howard Hughes who purchased them in 1950, before current owners PCCP Studio City Los Angeles took over in 2004. Home of many films, television shows, and music videos, the Culver Studios is a bustling piece of history. The day we visited, however, we saw no famous actors.
