Walking down behind James Joyce's tower in Sandycove and spotted this painted white line on path/breakwater. Leads to yellow metal rod, but I can't see why.

Whole scene and miserable damp cold reminded me of all the poor souls who drown off our coast each year, may they rest in peace.
