here is another psa for breast cancer - but this time, from a very unexpected source: the automobile giant, mercedes benz. they used a crash test dummy and instead of displaying it in a test car about to make impact with a wall, it is sitting upright and it's hands are positioned as though it were performing a breast exam on itself.

i think this is quite clever because they use imagery normally associated with the safety testing of automotives, and applied it to an entirely different area of concern. this awareness campaign serves two purposes: one, it reminds women to get their mammograms (and husbands to remind their wives to get mammograms), and second, it humanizes the business of mercedes benz and casts a positive light on themselves as more than just a car company who only cares about producing luxury cars and their bottom line.

it looks like this dummy is a smart dummy.
