Things I wouldn't notice #3

This collection of fungi almost escaped notice as I walked by on the trail. It definitely belongs with my series of "Things I wouldn't normally notice (if I weren't carrying a camera)". I had to leave the trail and kneel down in the damp leaf litter by the decaying log to get the right angle for this photo. After trying several different angles, I decided this was the best. I have no idea what it is, but maybe Wild One , with his vast knowledge of fungi, can tell us.

PS Getting down was easy. Getting up was the hard part!
