Work in Progress
I cant decide whether the title refers to the house or Olivers handiwork. I'm waiting for a window of opportunity to strip back some more wallpaper and repaint the dining room. SWMBO says that its the least of our priorities. However, I would like it done as soon as.
Anyway, back to the here and now..... Just come back from a fruitful weekend with the mother (and sister)-in-law. Emma's sister has taken up residence with her mum after falling out with her boyfriend of seven years (no seven year itch jokes please!). That story is boring, and truly unbelievable with its twists and turns (unless you know them both).
Oliver came back from the weekend with two early Christmas presents - a Nintendo DS Lite courtesy of Nana; and a Lego lorry from Grandpa. As soon as he got home and settled into the bedtime routine, he promptly set about building his new lorry.
At 9pm when I was about to head upstairs, I found Oliver still awake and still working on his creation. The promise of a blip was all the encouragement he needed to call it quits for the evening and head to bed. Luckily, this morning, he wasn't too tired and was ready for another fun packed week at school.
