Tourist Boots
We had to resort to buying these heavy duty plastic bags with soles so that we could get about - the water levels meant that we just couldn't move around without them ....... and having seen some of the stuff floating in the canals I certainly would not be wading barefoot
I must say I liked the sartorial ellegance of this dog walker. The wellies and mobile phone looked slightly out of place though.
Talking of mobiles - I suspect that the locals will be the first in the world to have them fitted surgically to their ears.
There are loads of very good free maps in Venice, but the i-pad and mobile phome were the system prefered by this couple - such a shame in such an ancient and timeless city.
Deliveries are made by handcart and they are pulled about at a hell of a speed by very fit guys. When you hear the call of 'Attenzione' you had better move or you will be sent flying.
The light was the best it has been and there were some nice reflections all over the place.
Such a shame we had to leave in the early afternoon.
But I couldn't leave before showing ONE MORE MASK SHOT for Alison .............. sorry - but these were just too expensive for me.
