Autumn fungus

We made it to Huckleberry Regional Botanical Preserve between storms, expecting to find wild fungi. There were some small ones; this crust fungus was the most dramatic, especially with the background of fallen autumn leaves.
Redwood Regional Park had more fungi last week, but it's damper there... Huckleberry will have more soon; expect to see them. Banana slugs, squirrels and other critters will munch on them, but will generally leave some piece of them intact.
