Husky

I don't know where I got the notion that huskies were wild, unfriendly, working dogs. Today I met my first team of huskies at a forestry photocall, and they were the gentlest and friendliest of dogs, delighted to be patted and stroked.
Until they were harnessed up to their 'sledge' buggy that is! Then they were so eager to go they were howling and pawing the ground, as if to say...no shout 'Let's go!!!'
After us pack of snappers had said 'Just one more time..' again and again, and the huskies had scampered along the muddy track for our cameras, again, the dogs were exhausted, and just wanted to rest, drink some water. And be patted and stroked again.
"Good dogs..."
