French Lace

This rose " french Lace" reminded me of the bike race in Christchurch called
" Le Race" which is from Christchurch to Akaroa - Akaroa being the french connection - (100K over steep terrain)

My friend Gav' and I were riding it along with 1000 other silly beggars.
Gav' got in conversation with a young lady who was dressed up in french frilly nickers - (people do these things getting into the spiruit of the French connection?) she was riding an ladies old bike which she told us she had recently ridden across Tibet ! Her story sounded convincing enough

Gav' was quite taken with her and her story. On one very hilly (steep) section they were deep in conversation (going so slow) they fell & ended up sprawled on the roadway together. It might have been one of those things one had to see but we still talk about it and laugh. Gav' and the girl in the french frilly nickers !!

Anyway " french lace" it is for me.
