Tufted Duck

Aythya fuligula

A quick lunchtime wander to see the birds overwintering on the Water of Leith. Yesterday I had spotted a Little Grebe, but it was around sunset, and I couldn't get a decent shot even with the ISO whacked up to ludicrously high numbers.

Anyway...it's always good to see the tufties, with their comical expressions.

Later, I planted out the garlic and the broadbeans...we'll see how they do.
