in-built alarm

Woke before dawn and needed to go pee, held off for a while, but couldn't wait the 3 hours it would take for sun to hit the tent. Temperatures were somewhere in the negatives and my sleeping bag was really warm so you can understand my reservations?

We got up late and Carl skinned up the nearest ridge to get one set of turns in and I wandered around snapping shots (not enough motivation to wade through the snow carrying the board).

Strangely enough, I really enjoyed boarding the narrow road out to the car...

Had a great time - will do some more of this in the NZ winter when it arrives.
