first trip of the season is always an adventure

If things are going to go wrong, a bunch of them will on your first trip out for the season. We put the Jetta's back wheels off the bank on the way to the trailhead and I broke my touring binding on my borrowed split-board in failing light as we were heading back to the tent.

Nothing like post-holing through deep snow for an hour to get the blood flowing.

The broken binding thing kind of cut our trip short, which was kind of lucky as I'm certainly not fit enough... Saved by Burton designer's designing for in-the-studio-conditions. Thanks guys!
