jeni and the beans

I tried to take a poignant shot today, but failed. I have seen / read other blips and cried, have realised the difference between observing a minutes' silence for a multitudes that never came home, and the pain of losing an individual. When you realise that all these soldiers were individuals, with families, parents, siblings, children, friends, you begin to see Remembrance in a different way. I don't think I knew anyone who "never came home", I only know a couple of people who lost friends, I don't know if I know anyone who has lost family. Maybe they don't talk about it much, or maybe I'm just badly unobservant.

But the blips today have had me weeping.

To all those who have lost, I will stand beside you and weep with you.

I will remember.

(Here's the other Ben shot from today, right before he fell off the ladder.... He's ok, just knocked his leg on something as he fell...)
