A night out in Fort Worth, Texas. It's managed to be the Cowtown Ball, Lone Star Film Festival and Lyle Lovett is playing at the Bass (plus someone called Elton John at the Convention Centre). Downtown is buzzin' and delightful. Hotels and booked solid. Thank goodness somewhere in America has rediscovered it's city centre. The Bass is an over blown confection of European opera houses but Lyle took to the stage and rose to the occasion in a sharp black suit and a great pair of cowboy boots. The Texan crowd whooped it up. Yeeha!
