An early trip down to Newhaven Harbour to see the Newhaven Coastal Rowers skiff getting launched. The first one in 82 yrs.

Volunteers have spent months building it and the local Primary School had a naming competition.

The Scottish Coastal Rowing Project is a new initiative supported by The Scottish Fisheries Museum to restart inter-community rowing competitions around Scotland, with the intention that the communities who want to race the boats will build them as well!

Good luck to them.

Next stop was to Starbucks for my breakfast and to dry and thaw out, it was cold and wet down there.
