By the Salish Sea
Took a walk today to the south end of the island (less than 2 miles) to our friend's place. He has just built an access road to his dock in order to drive the golf cart down to carry stuff up to the house (he has a house. We have a cabin on the north rain forest end). It wraps around this rock to the top of the wharf (where the flags are). It's a steep hill to get to this point- quite an amazing construction. There are several arbutus trees in this photo (the twisty ones). They like to grow on rocks... Which is why they do well here on this island. There are more on the south side than the north however.
Taken with the iPhone.
