Remembering

Today my Aunt Sandra, my mom's sister, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She is now with my grandparents who were waiting for her in heaven. My grandfather (her father), also lived with Alzheimer's Disease. I certainly hope to see a cure for this awful disease in my lifetime. My mom and much of her family were able to be there in her final days. She and some of the family live in Carrollton, Texas (Dallas area). Hospice has been such a blessing to the family during the final days. A music therapist also played for her, since she had a passion for music. My cousin Kip, his wife Debra, and my uncle Jerry have been also a great blessing to her, caring for her each and every day. She will be missed by many, but knowing she's free from her suffering and that we will see her again someday is comforting.
